standards make it ideal for IP surveillance deployments. Advanced management
features, a range of diagnostic and troubleshooting tools, and energy efficient
technologies provide a flexible solution to meet your networking requirements.
Advanced Features
The DGS-F1100-10PS-E is equipped with advanced security features such as Static MAC, Storm
Control, and IGMP Snooping. Static MAC allows users to create a MAC whitelist for specific ports,
helping administrators limit network access to authorized devices only. Storm Control monitors
broadcast, multicast, or unknown unicast traffic and will start blocking or discarding packets which
could flood the network when the defined threshold is exceeded. IGMP Snooping can reduce the
load of L3 multicast routers and save bandwidth in network throughput The IEEE 802.3x Flow
Control function allows servers to directly connect to the switch for fast, reliable data transfers.
The switch also supports advanced features such as static routes, which allow network
administrators to divide the network into VLANs, increasing network efficiency. The DGS-F1100-
10PS-E supports Voice VLAN and Port VLAN, allows voice and video traffic to be automatically
identified and handled differently than regular network traffic, adding a layer of isolation and
allowing Quality of Service (QoS) to be applied.
